I want to take a few minutes to explain why this referendum means so much to the Commonwealth and our Nation.

When I am asked about why Virginians should vote yes on April 21st, I keep to a few powerful points.

• It protects the women's right to choose.

• It protects our rights to marry the people we love.

• It protects our right to vote.

• And, It ensures that our country has a level playing field in the Midterms.

We should all remember that Virginia did not start this fight. The President has continued his attacks on elections, on the right to vote, and has directly targeted the Midterms with specific threats. Democrats, and Virginia citizens, can put a stop to this.

I ask that you read through the information and review the proposed congressional map. I want to make clear that this map is temporary; we will be back to a bi partisan map following the 2030 census.
